Orzo

The design brief was to create a sophisticated, yet relaxed coastal dining experience for guests, giving them a sense of having been transported to the Italian seaside once inside.
A muted colour palette of blonde timbers, warm whites and pastel colours was used to evoke a feeling of relaxed comfort. And in a playful nod to Italian baroque architecture, archways and circular shapes were used to inspire joinery designs throughout the space. Traditional Italian materials such as marble and brass detailing continued the design narrative.

Occupying an internal footprint of only 87 square metres with a challenging layout in a corner tenancy, we worked with the client to achieve a functional kitchen and bar layout whilst ensuring seating numbers were not compromised. It was important to the clients that the venue deliver the casual fine dining experience that they are passionate about.
