Donna Chang

Described by local media as “Brisbane’s most glamorous Chinese restaurant”, the

CBD’s Donna Chang is a work of contradiction and surprise.

Housed in the 1920s former Queensland Government Savings Building, the eatery has been intentionally designed as a modern insertion into its heritage shell, with a Parisian interior aesthetic sitting in stark contrast to the contemporary Cantonese cuisine on offer.

These cheeky, unexpected twists are all part of the restaurant’s charm that has seen it become one of the city’s most popular venues for everything from corporate lunches and events to dinners with couples and friends.

Also drawing in the business crowds, are the private dining rooms on the mezzanine level, which capture the excitement of the main restaurant below, while allowing for a more exclusive and intimate setting.

In collaboration with Finn Jones Architecture, a dramatic new staircase was designed and constructed to access the elevated spaces, creating yet another feature in this stunning Brisbane favourite.
